Injury Prevention and Performance Screens

Optimal performance and decreased injury risk are a combination of proper movement, joint control, and body awareness. Through a series of simple movement, exercise, and neurological tests, it is possible to help optimize performance and identify potential risk factors for future injury. It is impossible to prevent all injuries or make everyone an elite athlete, but it is our goal to help our patients reach their full potential and continue to do the activities they love.

An ounce of prevention, as they say, is worth a pound of cure. Get out in front of your injuries with screening and preventative medicine.
Cupping is an ancient wellness practice that has many benefits for athletes recovering from an injury.

Dry Needling/Cupping

Dry needling utilizes acupuncture needles inserted directly into tender, tight spots in muscles called Trigger points in order to help relax restore ideal function to muscles. Cupping utilizes small glass or plastic cups to create a vacuum over the superficial tissues to decompress tissue, increase blood flow, and stimulate recovery.

Fascial Movement Taping

Rocktape is a kinesiology tape that is used for treating common sports injuries. Rocktape works by promoting blood flow and decreasing inflammation, thus healing injuries quicker. More importantly, Rocktape aids in pain mitigation by changing the way your body interprets pain signals.  Common conditions we use Rocktape for include pregnancy related pains, shin splints, plantar fasciitis, back pain, and knee and shoulder complaints.

Fascial movement is a specialized non-invasive treatment for minor injuries and muscle stress.
